Vid milan har jag vaktat i vinter och vår
och längtat till havet i många långa år,
långt bort från min gammalmansmöda.
Från havet är den vind, som i tallarne går
som leker med stoftet från milan, som står
med mull över kolen som glöda.

ja leikkii miilun savulla, miilun, jossa
