Lotusblomman
(Sung text for setting by S. Koch)
 Matches base text
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Månen vandrar sin ensliga stig,
tyst i den drömmande natten,
lotusblomman har öppnat sig
gungar på blånande vatten,
gungar med brusten stängel framåt,
sakta strömmen förrinner,
månens blick henne följer åt,
tills hon i hafvet försvinner.

Så min kära i sorg jag såg
sakta från mig glida,
gripen af lifvets kylande våg
slets hon bort från min sida.

Composition:

Set to music by Sigurd von Koch (1879 - 1919), "Lotusblomman", 1914 [ medium voice and piano ], from Exotiska sånger, no. 4
