Gewölk zerreißt; vom glühenden Himmel her
Irrt taumelndes Licht über geblendete Täler.
Mitgeweht vom föhnigen Sturm
Flieh ich mit unermüdetem Schritt
Durch ein bewölktes Leben.
Oh, daß nur immer für Augenblicke
Zwischen mir und dem ewigen Licht
Gütig ein Sturm die grauen Nebel verweht!
Fremdes Land umgibt mich,
Losgerissen treibt von der Heimat fern
Mich des Schicksals mächtige Woge umher.
Jage die Wolken, Föhn,
Reiße die Schleier hinweg,
Daß mir Licht auf die zweifelnden Pfade falle!
