De røde roser i lunden
 (Sung text for setting by L. Rosenfeld)
 Matches base text
Language: Danish (Dansk)
De røde roser i lunden
stå og blomstre for vind og vejr;
Jeg ved mig for alle blommer små
en jomfru-rose fuldskær.
Som rosen sender sin duft omkring,
at alle kende den må,
så drager hun om sig en tryllering,
der ingen ifra kan gå.

Hun taler og ler af hjertensgrund,
som lærken synger sit kvad,
og ordene falde fra hendes mund
som duggen fra rosens blad
Ihvor hun går i den grønne maj,
der blegne alle blomster små;
Men hvor hun vandrer ad ødest vej,
der tykkes mig roser stå.

    Set to music by Leopold Rosenfeld (1849 - 1909), "De røde roser i lunden"
