Morgenlied
(Sung text for setting by H. Nägeli)
 See original
Language: German (Deutsch)
 ...

Die Schöpfung lacht,
Der Wald erwacht,
Und alle Vögel loben
So wunderschön,
In Wald und Höhn,
Den guten Vater droben.

Schön blinkt der Thau
Auf bunter Au,
Der Vogel schwingt den Flügel,
Die Lämmer ziehn
Durch Wiesengrün,
Schön duftet Thal und Hügel.

 ...

Ihn lobt die Flur,
Und die Natur
Singt ihrem Schöpfer Lieder;
Er ist so treu,
Und immer neu
Kommt seine Güte wieder.
