An eine Rosenknospe
(Sung text for setting by V. Righini)
 See original
Language: German (Deutsch)
Schönste Rosenknospe dieser Flur!
Unter Nachtigallgesang entblühe,
Bei des goldnen Maitags leiser Frühe,
Still im Schooße ländlicher Natur.

Sicher, gleich dem Hesperidenhain,
Ruhvoll, wie Arkadiens Gefilde,
Paradiesen gleich an Frühlingsmilde,
Müsse dein umschirmtes Gärtchen seyn.

Nur von zarter Nymfen Hand berührt
Prang' empor in keuscher Jugendröthe,
Bis auch dich dem heimatlichen Beete
Edler Blumen schönes Loos entführt.

 ...
