Scaramouche et Pulcinella

Gesticulent, noirs sous la lune.

Cependant l'excellent docteur
Bolonais cueille avec lenteur
Des simples parmi l'herbe brune.

Lors sa fille, piquant minois,
Sous la charmille, en tapinois,
Se glisse demi-nue, en quête

De son beau pirate espagnol
Dont un amoureux rossignol
Clame la détresse à tue-tête.

Language: Catalan (Català)  after the French (Français)
Scaramouche i Pulcinella
quina idea malèvola reuneixen,
gesticulen negres sota la lluna,

mentre l'exel·lent doctor Bolonyès
cull lentament mostres
entre l'herba bruna.

Llavors la seva filla, tota coqueta,
sobre el prat, de puntetes,
s'esfuma mig nua

a la recerca del seu bell pirata español,
on el seu (amoròs) rossinyol
proclama la seva angoixa a crits.
