Blickt' auf Busentuch und Mieder,
Hinterwärts gelehnt am Baum;
Streckte dann ins Gras mich nieder,

les noies boniques eren
el delit dels meus ulls,
més que ninots i pilotes.

No feia cas dels nius d’ocells
i llençava el meu cavallet de fusta a la gespa
quan, a sota d’un arbre, al costat de ma germana,
seia una bonica xicota;

de la jovial xicota em delectaven
les seves galtes vermelles,
la seva boca, el seu front,
els seus rínxols rossos;

jo mirava la seva brusa i el seu cosset
quan ella es repenjava a l’arbre
i llavors m’estirava a l’herba
a tocar del ribet del seu vestit.
