by Thelyma Nelly Helene Branco (1818 - 1894), as Dilia Helena

Schlummerlied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Schlummre sanft, du lieblich Kind!
Kühlend weht der Abendwind;
Bunte Spiele, Blumen, Lieder
Bringt der schöne Morgen wieder.

Schon der Mond am Himmel zieht;
Senke nun dein Augenlied:
Dann auf weichem Schwangefieder
Schwebt zu dir ein Engel nieder,

Webet dir aus Perlenschaum
Einen holden süßen Traum,
Läßt im Zauberspiegel Fee'n,
Elf' und Nymphen hell dich sehen.

Aber schlummre auch nun ein,
Sonst entflieht das Engelein,
Das dir all das Schöne zeiget,
Wenn dein Aug' sich schlummernd neiget.

Confirmed with Lieder von Dilia Helena. Mit einem Vorworte von Ludwig Tieck, Berlin, in der Nicolai'schen Buchhandlung, 1848, p. 88.
