Es blitzt sein Aug, es bebt sein Mund,
Ihm ward so süß zu Sinne,
Sie saßen nieder im grünen Grund -- 
Frau Minne kommt, Frau Minne.

Er sprach: Es keimt in Wald und Feld,
Die Blumen grüßen und winken,
Nur einmal noch laß mich die Wonne der Welt
Von rothen Lippen trinken.

Von deinen Lippen roth und weich --
Da hat er sie umfangen...
Der arme Herr Wernher, er war so reich
Mit seinen glühenden Wangen.

Die bunten Blümlein sie nickten scheu,
Die Vöglein lockten und riefen --
Und über ihnen stieg ein Weih 
In fluthende Himmelstiefen.
