Die Fenster auf, die Thüren weit, der Frühling ist erschienen,
Es naht der Fürst der Freudigkeit, laßt freudig uns ihm dienen! 
Hört ihr der Vögel Jubel nicht, seht ihr nicht Blumen blühen,
Und Sonnenstrahlen warm und licht vom blauen Himmel sprühen?
O fraget nicht nach Monatszeit, in Zweifeln bang beklommen,
Wo Sonne kam und Seligkeit, da ist der Lenz gekommen! --
