Lande double

   Ton âme aimera son reflet dans les glaces ;
   Elle croira qu’elle voit quelqu’un d’autre.

Cette lande de bruyère rose
Où nous étions venus nous asseoir, —
Cette lande se métamorphose
Sous les obliques rayons du soir ;

On dirait que c’est un miroir
Où fleurissent des nuages roses —
Une calme plaine de cristal
Où paissent nos âmes sentimentales.

Le ciel que le couchant teinte de rose,
On dirait une lande de bruyère ; —
C’est comme une plaine reflétée,
Où broute mon âme dépareillée.
