Was schert mich alles Reden noch, Was scheren mich die Kammern?

Not much is left of what I used to believe, The priests robbed it, The world took it. I am left with one belief, That compensates for every loss. Hear it by a glass of wine: I believe, I believe, I believe in the bayonet. I imagined a beautiful Peaceful victory of love! But now I see: the ruler of the night Is only scared of the flame jab. That way he becomes our victim, He falls into the bloody bed! Hear it by a glass of wine: I believe, I believe, I believe in the bayonet. Who cares about all the talking, Who cares about the law? We will never win As long as we are sorry for ourselves! Put on the helmets, Come on to the bloody banquet! Hear it by a glass of wine: I believe, I believe, I believe in the bayonet. The enemies take our choice, Get rid of sneaky sins! The last chances are The bullet and pure steel. Get off your labile board Down to steam and dust! Hear it by a glass of wine: I believe, I believe, I believe in the bayonet. The bullets wheeze, the strokes rustle, And the tyrants shake! The fruit of German freedom Only ripens during the storms of the battle. Long live this belief, Here’s to the bayonet! Hear it by a glass of wine: I believe, I believe, I believe in the bayonet.
