Dein Bild ist nicht die Sonne, Die meinen Tag erhellt, Es ist der Mond, der bleiche, Für meine innre Welt. Es leuchtet nicht Leben und Wärme In meine Seele hinein, Es hat nur kalten, blassen Und schwermuthvollen Schein. Es bat nicht Licht und Farbe Der Mond am hellen Tag: Das Dunkel erst und die Stille, Die rufen Dein Bild mir wach.
