Hier in dem engen Haus,
Die Welt in mir ist todt,
Ich muß in jene n'aus.
 
Du, Mutter mein, leb' wohl,
Behalt' mich immer lieb,
Es treibt ein Stachel mich,
Der Manchen schon vertrieb.
 
Wein' nicht um deinen Sohn,
Zieht er auch weit hinaus,

Ein großes Vaterhaus!
