Je veux te taire à tous, secret de ma pensée,
Poison qui m'offre encor le suc exquis des fleurs,
Mystère de ma joie et source de mes pleurs
Toute l'heure passée !

Ô la vague douceur d'évoquer "Autrefois",
D'aviver le frisson de l'étreinte lointaine,
Et seul, de s'en aller où toujours vous ramène
L'espoir du cher fantôme aux profondeurs des bois !
