by Anton, Freiherr von Klesheim (c1816 - 1884)

Das Öferl
Language: Mittelbairisch
Es gibt á liabs Öferl,
Á netts und á kláns,
So leicht wia das Öferl,
So leicht häzt si käns.

Und 's Holz is nit theuer
Was drinn brennen thuat,
Und gibt's schönsti Feuer
Di reinásti Gluath.

Das Herz, is das Öferl,
Und 's Holz was da brinnt,
Sán d' Bußerln, de 's Deandl
Mit 'n Göscherl anzünd't.

Und brennts in den Öferl
Á Manichsmahl schwach.
Bringt 's Deandl á Fuhr Bußerln,
Und legt 's Kl&aauml;nweis nach.

Schürrt fleißi di Gluath,
Laßt das Flämmerl nit h'raus,
Ausgnummen der Tod kummt,
Der fráli löscht 's aus.

Do daß der Tod 's Feu'r nit
Gschwind ausblasn kann,
Legt má si von Bußerln
Á Holz Kámmerl an,

Und wann Tausnd Klafter
Ám Bußerl Platz stehn,
Laßt si der Herr Tod gwiß
Das Blasn vergehn.
