by Francis Wiener (1877 - 1937), as Francis de Croisset

Rêverie
Language: French (Français)
Dans les vergers
Les bergers
font chanter leurs cœurs sur leurs flûtes,
et sur les eaux
Les oiseaux
Tournent et montent en volutes.

L’air est si frais,
Les forêts
exhalent des odeurs si douces
Qu’il vient au cœur
La langueur
de mourir à deux dans les mousses.

Un astre luit,
et s’enfuit,
Les blancs nuages se colorent...
Mon cœur est las,
des lilas
sous ma fenêtre s’évaporent ;

Ah! les frissons
des buissons
Que la brise tiède balance ;
Ah ! sans penser
se bercer
de solitude et de silence.

oublier tout,
et partout
où votre regard se repose,
Ne plus rien voir
dans le soir
Que des ombres sous un ciel rose.
