by Friedrich Konrad Müller von der Werra (1823 - 1881)

Liedesgruss
Language: German (Deutsch)
Es klingen meine Lieder
Zum Himmel froh hinein,
Da freuen sich glückselig
Die lieben Engelein!

Sie schwingen lind und leise
Zu meinem Lieb sich hin
Und weben ihr die Lieder
Nachts träumend in den Sinn.

Da bringen ihr die Klänge
Den Frieden in's Gemüth,
Daß ihr's wie Liebesgrüße
Tief durch die Seele zieht.

Confirmed with Das Buch der Lieder von Müller von der Werra, Leipzig, Ludwig Denicke, 1866, p. 231.
