by B. Eduard Schulz (1813 - 1842), as Edouard Ferrand

Heitre Fluren, helle Seen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Heitre Fluren, helle Seen,
Lichter Himmel, blau und rein,
Grüne Thäler, grüne Höhen
Lächeln rings im Sonnenschein.

Blüthen säuseln auf mich nieder,
Lüfte wehen lau und lind --
Überselig möcht' ich wieder
Jauchzen, jubeln wie ein Kind.

Von dem Duft der Blüten trunken,
Fühl' ich nicht das alte Leid,
Hinter mir in Nacht versunken,
Schlummert die Vergangenheit.

Doch die Zukunft winkt mir heiter,
Morgensonnenglanz-erhellt,
Und so zieh' ich singend weiter
In die frohe, heitre Welt.
