Étoile du matin
Language: French (Français)
Our translations:  CHI
Quand l'aube va paraître,
Je cesse de dormir,
Je cours à ma fenêtre
Où le ciel vient pâlir,
Et j'admire et salue
L'Étoile du matin
Qui rayonne à ma vue
Comme un regard divin.

Douce étoile vermeille,
Tu gardais mon sommeil
Jusqu'à l'heure où s'éveille
Ton frère, le soleil  ;
A lui tu me confies,
Et te perds dans l'azur ;
Suis tes routes bénies,
Douce étoile au front pur !

De ta charmante flamme
Réjouis d'autres yeux,
Là-bas on te réclame,
Visite d'autres cieux,
Et que rien ne leur voile
Ton doux éclat divin.
Au revoir, chère étoile,
Étoile du  matin !
