Guignol
Language: French (Français)
Je suis venu, ce jour de fête,
A Guignol m'amuser un peu ...
J'adore une marionnette,
Cotillon vert, parasol bleu.

C'est la gaîté, c'est Colombine
Lançant de prestes boniments.
Elle danse la capucine
Sur une mesure à deux temps.

Mais voici qu'Arlequin la pince ;
Elle rit, lui fait les yeux doux,
Et moi, qui sors de ma province,
Je deviens maussade et jaloux.

J'avais apporté pour l'ingrate
Une pivoine, un gros bleuet ;
Elle n'aura rien, je m'en flatte,
Pas une fleur de mon bouquet ;

Je les garde pour Arlequine,
Non moins belle dans ses atours !
Dansez, dansez la capucine,
Moi je songe à d'autres amours !
