Aan uw stam, o kruis

Aan uw stam, o kruis, ligt Gods Vaderhuis,
bloeit de roze vreugd van hoop en vree.
Jezus, lief en zacht, legt de wonderkracht
van zijn kruis vol zalving op ons wee.

Waar de nagel boort, blaakt een hemelpoort,
stroomt 't genadelicht op land en tijd.
Uit Gods hartegrond door de speer verwond,
vloeit een zegen van barmhartigheid.

Kruishout, smartentroon van Gods liefsten Zoon,
zend uw troostend heil in ons gemoed.
Jezus' liefdetaal luidt de zegepraal;
Kruis, wij knielen zingend aan uw voet.
