by Karl Gustaf Larson (1873 - 1948), as Larin-Kyösti

Erkki‑paimen
Language: Finnish (Suomi)
Jo pieni paimen Erkki
käy metsään karjoineen
ja avojaloin hyppii vaan
hän rallattain ja laulaen.
Kil -- kal, noin vaskikellot soi
pien' Erkki paimentaa
min pieni rinta huutaa voi
sen kaiku kuljettaa
ja kanervalla hyppien
käy rallattain ja laulaen
pien' Erkki karjoineen.

Ja tanotorveen Erkki
tu -- tuu -- tuu -- toitottaa
ja yli kumpuin, kuilujen
noin karja kulta kutsun saa.
On tuohireppu olallaan
ja vitsa kädessään
on mättään marjat herkkujaan
jos väsyy, pikku pään
hän sammalpatjaan uinuttaa
ja puron viinit juoda saa
pien' Erkki karjoineen.
