Mon dieu, mon dieu, que j’ayme la sagesse
De ses propos qui raviroient les Dieux, 
Et la douceur de son ris gratieux
Qui me remplit d’une heureuse alegresse.

Mon dieu, que j’ayme à l’oüir deviser
Et tout ravy baiser et rebaiser
Sa blanche main alors qu’elle n’y pense !

Mais ô Baif doy-je pas bien aymer
Le rare esprit qui la fait estimer
Mesme de ceux qui n’ont sa cognoissance.
