by Vilhelm Bergsøe (1835 - 1911)

Lind
Language: Danish (Dansk)
Jeg ved ej, hvoraf det kommer
og om det som mig går fler',
men hvergang lindene blomstre,
så kan jeg ej sove mer'.

Da fyldes mit sind og min tanke
så sælsomt ved blomsternes duft,
at ud jeg alene må vandre
i nattens kølige luft.

Men når jeg vandrer alene
i Nattens hviskende vind,
da kommer de gamle minder
og gøre så tungt mit sind.

Da går jeg ind i mit Kammer
og sysler med bog og pen;
men hvergang lindene blomstre,
har jeg min nød igen.
