Il tramonto
Language: Italian (Italiano)
Tutto è amore! Il giorno è spento,
eppur foco è l'orizzonte,
fin la bianca intatta fronte
fa dell'alpe rosseggiar.

Ora amata! Io ti rammento
d'Ischia e Capri alla marina,
sul mio suol di Mergellina
del Vesèvo al fiammeggiar!

Tutta, o sol, quest'alma ardente
nel tuo raggio si trasfonde,
teco bacia quelle sponde,
teco posa in grembo ai fior.

O memorie... il cor già sente
il poter del vostro incanto,
Ah! Dal ciglio scorre il pianto
qual ne'giorni dell'amor!
