Liebchens Reichthum
Language: German (Deutsch)
Der Himmel hat die Sonne,
und Perlen hat das Meer,
die Erde hat die Blume,
doch Liebchen, du hast mehr!

Die Blumen und die Perlen,
der Sonne gold'nen Strahl,
die reichen Schätze alle
besitzest du zumal.

Dein Auge leuchtet sonnig,
in Rosen blüht dein Mund
und aller Perlen schönste
ruht dir im Herzensgrund.

Love's riches
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
The sun is in the heavens
the pearl is in the sea,
The earth is strewn with flowers,
But I my love have thee!

The pearls and all the flowers,
the sunlight's golden beam,
To lend thee all their beauty
they one and all do seem.

Thine eyes glance beams of sunlight,
thy lips are rosy red
of all the pearls the purest
has in thy heart its bed.
