An die Bäche
Language: German (Deutsch)
Sanfte, klare Bäche,
rauschet durch die Fläche,
rieselt durch die Flur;
murmelt meine Klagen,
sagt ihr meine Plagen,
reigt mir ihre Spur.

Kommet Finsternisse,
daß ich wieder küsse,
komm erwünschte Nacht;
in der dunkeln Ferne
glänzt das Licht der Sterne,
schon in stiller Pracht.

Harr' ich denn vergebens?
Freude meines Lebens,
kommst du nimmermehr?
Eilt ihr Zephirwinde,
bringt sie mir geschwinde
in die Arme her.

Sanfte, klare Bäche,
die ihr durch die Fläche,
durch die Fluren fließt;
lispelt meine Klagen,
flüstert meine Plagen,
weil sie mich vergißt.
