Still they keep the violets that I sent you,
Born by the light of the stars
And covered with drops of dew
Something of the night sky in them.
As if their colors
Were [a] yearning of blue
Resolved in flowers.
One by one I picked them carefully
And I blessed all of them while invoking you,
Leaving in each fragrant chalice
A part of my ardent desire.
