Wiegenlied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Dunkle Nacht senkt sich hernieder,
und die Sonne geht zur Ruh';
Schließe deine Augenlider,
kleiner, lieber Engel du!

Sanfter Schlummer nah' dir leise,
schweb' herab aus lichtem Raum,
senk' in heilig-stiller Weise
in das Herz dir süßen Traum!

Möge Freude dich beglücken
wie mein Herz in dieser Stund',
wo ich heiße Küsse drücken
kann auf deinen Rosenmund!

Schlaf', o schlaf' in süßem Frieden,
träum' in selig stiller Ruh'!
Alles Glück sei dir beschieden,
kleiner, lieber Engel du!
