by Richard Fedor Leopold Dehmel (1863 - 1920)

Käferlied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Maiker, Maiker, surr,
bleib nur sitzen, burr!
Breite deine Fühler aus,
mach zwei kleine Fächer draus,
schwing sie kreuz und quer,
zähle mir was her!
Zähle, ich will mit dir zählen,
wieviel noch Minuten fehlen,
bis Herr Heuschreck wuppt
und mir auf die Nase huppt.
Maikäber, Maiker,
sonst holt dich der Deiker!

Confirmed with Richard Dehmel, Gesammelte Werke, Band 6, Berlin: 1908, pages 18-19.
