Le berger indiscret
Language: French (Français)
Un soir dans un sombre bocage
Nanette dit a Colinet :
Promettez-moi d'être discret
Ou ne cessez pas d'être sage.

Il promit tout à la bergère,
Qui brûlait d'un tendre désir
Pour jouir d'un parfait plaisir
Tout amant promet de se taire.

Elle cessa d'être sévère
A la promesse du berger,
Il fut ingrat, traître et léger
Dès qu'il eût fini le mystère.

En comblant un berger de gloire,
Belles, connaissez bien son cœur ;
Comme le coq, l'amant trompeur,
Se plaît à chanter sa victoire.
