by Franz Evers (1871 - 1947)

So traumhaft müde und so leise
Language: German (Deutsch)
So traumhaft müde und so leise,
wie süsser Sommerhauch so lind,
klingt eine alte Liederweise
wehmütig in den Abendwind.

Die Blüten rieseln und es rauschen
die Sommerzweige traumverstört --
den müden Tönen muss ich lauschen,
die meine Seele einst gehört.

Doch wie aus längst vergangnen Tagen
ein keuscher, kaum erwachter Duft,
ist schon das Lied hinweggetragen --
und still und glänzend liegt die Luft.
