by Franz Evers (1871 - 1947)

Liebesdämmerung
Language: German (Deutsch)
Die blutig glosenden Kohlen
des Abendrots gehn aus,
und die Nacht mit den Silbersohlen
tritt die letzten Funken aus.
Sie steigt von den Himmeln hernieder
im dunkeln duftigen Kleid
und schliesst die Augenlider
den Menschen und stillt das Leid.
Wie die Liebe uns heimlich umdunkelt,
die Welt ist fern, so fern,
nur droben am Himmel funkelt
blauflimmernd der Venusstern.

Confirmed with Franz Evers, Eva, Leipzig, Verlag "Kreisende Ringe" (Max Spohr), 1894, page 32.
