from Volkslieder (Folksongs)

Kak u nashego shirokogo dvora
Language: Russian (Русский)
Kak u nashego shirokogo dvora
Sobiralis` krasny' devushki v kruzhok.
Oni dumali - kakoj igroj igrat`:
Semka, v zhmurki, sem verevochku nachnem!
Odna devka proslezilasya v krugu: -
Vy' igrajte, krasny' devushki, odni!
Uzh kak mne, mladoj, igra ne na ume;
Mil-serdechny'j drug v ume moem zhivyot,
Zhivuchi v ume, serdechushko krushit!
Nichego by' ya na svete ne vzyala,
Tol`ko chtob emu mila ravno by'la,
E`to bol`she vsego stoit dlya menya!
Kaby' znala, kaby' vedala, moj svet,
Chto zaxvacheno serdechushko tvoe,
Ne glyadela b ya na prelesti tvoi;
Glaz prekrasny'x ubegala by' tvoix.
Ax, nadezhda, obol`stila ty' menya,
Obol`stila, da uzh pozdno znat` dala!
Znayu, batyushka, prel`shhaet kto tebya,
Razluchaet nas sudarushka s toboj!
