by Ivan Ivanovich Lazhechnikov (1792 - 1869)

Podnjalas' pogodka
Language: Russian (Русский)
Podnjalas' pogodka, s sivera nalet,
Razygralas' rechka v beregakh krutykh,
Gonit bez ogljadki za volnoj volnu,
Put' sebe dorozhku stelet shiroko.
Put' sebe dorozhku stelet shiroko!

- Ty kuda tak, rechka, bez uma bezhish'?
V more khot' razdol'e - v more propadesh'!
- Akh! ne ja shirokoj doli toj khochu,
Gonit zla pogodka s sivera nalet.

- Ty kuda tak, devka, snarjazhajesh'sja?
Ty kuda tak, krasnaja, ubirajesh'sja?
Ne speshi razvjazyvat' rusuju kosu;
Pod povjazkoj barkhatnoj chasto slezy l'jut.

- Akh, ne ja, podruzhen'ki, doli toj khochu,
Gonit volja batjushki, bozhija groza.
Kaby volja-voljushka mne byla svoja,
Uzh ne toj bezdoljushki pozhelala b ja!
