Isola bella
Language: German (Deutsch)
Die gold'nen Abendwolken nah'n,
der Tag neigt sich zur Ruh';
durch vblaue Wogen fliegt mein Kahn
dem trauten Eiland zu.
Isola bella!

Sie taucht empor voll Majestät
gleich jener holden Fee,
der schaumgebor'nen heheren Maid
Anadyomene.
Isola bella!

Ein ros'ger Sonnenstrahl umflicht
das Haupt ihr kronengleich,
zu ihren Füßen schmiegt sich dicht
die Welle, perlenreich.
Isola bella!

Und Zephirlüfte, dufterfüllt,
von Blütenträumen schwer,
umgaukeln rings das Götterbild
als Amorettenheer.
Isola bella!

Ein heil'ger Zauber uns umweht,
d'raus alle Wonne bricht,
und leis' der Mund, wie im Gebet,
voll tiefster Andacht spricht:
Isola bella!
