by Sergey Aleksandrovich Safonov (1867 - 1904)

Na prostore lesistoj poljany
Language: Russian (Русский)
Na prostore lesistoj poljany,
V tišine zadremavšej prirody,
Do rassveta chodili tumany -
Zavodili svoi chorovody.

To s poryvom toski i želan'ja
K svetlym zvezdam oni ustremljalis',
To, pugajas' nočnogo dychan'ja,
Nad zemleju polzli i svivalis'.

A na utro oni umirali -
Umirali sedye tumany -
I proščal'nye slezy ronjali
Na cvety i na travy poljany.

I luči zagorevšejsja zor'ki,
Vspychnuv v kapljach sverkajuščej pyli,
Ne uznali, kak slezy te gor'ki
I o čem oni prolity byli!..
