by Konstantin Konstantinovich Romanov, Grand Duke of Russia (1858 - 1915)

Rozy'
Language: Russian (Русский)
Vo dni nadezhdy' molodoj,
Vo dni bezoblachnoj lazuri
Nam neznakomy' by'li buri, —
Bespechny' by'li my' s toboj.
‎Dlya nas czvety' blagouxali,
Luna siyala tol`ko nam,
Lish` mne s toboyu po nocham
Pel solovej svoi pechali.
— V te bezzabotny'e goda
Ne znali my' zhitejskoj prozy':
‎Kak xoroshi togda,
‎Kak svezhi by'li rozy'!

To vremya minulo davno…
— Izvedav bedy' i pechali,
My' mnogo skorbi povstrechali;
‎No uny'vat`, moj drug, greshno:
Vzglyani, kak Bozhij mir prekrasen;
Nebesny'j svod glubok i chist,
Nash sad tak zelen i dushist,
I teply'j den`, i tix, i yasen,
Paxnul v rastvorennuyu dver`;
V czvetax rosy' siyayut slezy'…
‎Kak xoroshi teper`,
‎Kak svezhi e`ti rozy'!

Za vse, chto vy'stradali my',
Pover`, vozdastsya nam storicej.
Dni pronesutsya verenicej,
I posle sumrachnoj zimy'
Opyat` v rasczvetshie doliny'
Sletit schastlivaya vesna;
Zasvetit krotkaya luna;
Pol`etsya rokot solov`iny'j,
I otdoxnem my' ot truda,
Vernutsya radosti i grezy':
‎Kak xoroshi togda,
‎Kak svezhi budut rozy'!
