by Maurice Bouchor (1855 - 1929)

Dans les splendeurs orientales
Language: French (Français)
Dans les splendeurs orientales
Se lève le soleil en feu ;
Voici qu'il neige des pétales
De roses blanches, dans l'air bleu.

O brises d'avril matinée
Où, s'éveillant d'un air vainqueur,
Les fleurs de la nouvelle année
Ont toutes une perle au cœur !

Musique allègre ou solennelle,
Longs murmures, soupirs des bois
Qu'un vent emporte sur son aile,
Doux comme un soupir de hautbois ;

Extase infinie et muette
Que traverse joyeusement
Le cri perçant d'une alouette
Dans les hauteurs du firmament !
