by Shota Rustaveli (c1160 - c1220)
Translation by Adolphe Thalasso (1858 - 1919)

Source de joies infinies et de...
Language: French (Français)  after the Georgian (Kartuli)
Source de joies infinies et de souffrances infinies,
Pour tous ceux qui osent lever leurs yeux jusqu'à
  tes yeux ;
Rose unique dont la splendeur égale la splendeur
  de toutes les roses ensemble,
Comment les rossignols pourraient-ils te voir
  sans chanter, inlassablement, ta beauté !

About the headline (FAQ)

Confirmed with Adolphe Thalasso, Anthologie de l'Amour Asiatique, Paris, Société du Mercure de France, 1907, page 205. Note: below the poem, it indicates "Extrait du Turiel" (excerpt from Turiel). "The Amors of Turiel" is one of the alternative names for the epic also called "The Panther-Skinned", "The Man Clothed in the Panther's Skin", "The Knight in the Panther's Skin", and "Nestan Darejan". This edition also has a note for line 4 word 3, "rossignol" (note: the lines are broken in this edition, so this is physically line 6): "Par un jeu de mots, intraduisible, « rossignols » est pris, ici, dans le sens de « chantres de toutes sortes »."
