by Rudolf Trebitsch (1876 - 1918), as Hans Dietrolf

Lichter
Language: German (Deutsch)
Abends auf des Berges Höh',
da vor mir das Städtchen.
Licht an Licht ich darin seh',
dort auch wohnt mein Mädchen.

Auch im Busen wird es hell,
die Gedanken schwinden;
nur Gefühle sind zur Stell',
die ans Sein mich binden.

Fern ein Häuschen, d'rin ein Licht
leuchtet mir am reinsten.
Von dem Liebchen es mir spricht
wortlos im Geheimsten.

Lichtlein wird ganz flammengroß
tief in meiner Seele;
jubelnd d'rum hinunter, bloß
dass ich's ihr erzähle.
