My heart is a flame
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
My heart is a flame
that nearly burns me out;
if it keeps burning that way,
I won't be able to endure it any longer.

My heart is all in flames,
and within it is a fire;
only my lass's kisses
can extinguish it altogether.

And her glowing looks
and her fiery talk -
the lass is to blame
if all is set on fire!
