öfver linnets hvita fält
hvarje skrynkla plåna ut
hvarje veck - i en minut! 

Roligt blir att lägga in
vackra, hvita tvätten min.
Något bättre dock jag vet,
men det är min hemlinghet: 

Att med gladt och trofast skick,
att med ljus och vänlig blick
plåna sorgens skrynkla snar
