Stunden

Es war ein Tag, wie sie selten sind 
und nur dem Glück entstammen; 
die Fliederbüsche schwankten im Wind 
und die Rosen standen in Flammen. 

Am prangenden Himmel glühte die Glut
von den goldenen Sommertagen, 
und ich fühlte ein altes Königsblut 
mir durch die Pulse schlagen. 

Und ich fühlte mein Herz in Blüte stehn
und tausend Lieder klingen, 
und sah im lieblichen Sommerwehn 
das Glück mit den leuchtenden Schwingen.
