by Domenico Gnoli (1838 - 1915), as Giulio Orsini

Fuga d'ale
Language: Italian (Italiano)
No, non ricordo né quando
né dove, ma ricordo
sempre quel sordo
tumulto: una fuga
d’ale vertiginosa
entro la nebbia autunnale,
un torrente d’ale.
Passavano come un rombo
di bufera: la grande ala
dell’aquila imperiosa,
la timida del colombo,
della tortora amorosa
e un guizzare di snelle
ale di rondinelle,
e petali di farfalle
bianche, cilestri, gialle,
e ali di corvi neri,
di rapaci sparvieri
una fuga spettrale
d’ale, d’ale, d’ale.
Ciascuna in suo moto, e tutte
una sola bufera
rapiva. Era un affanno
a veder la follia
di quella fuga. Io sentia
alarsi pur la mia vita,
e fuggire anch’essa rapita
nel torrente. Era un affanno!
Dove vanno? Dove vanno?
