by József Kiss (1843 - 1921)

A Nászbokréta
Language: Hungarian (Magyar)
A nászbokréta elhervadófélben
Homálynak, csöndnek súg titkos regét,
Ölemben tartom ifju feleségem,
S csókolom ajkát, homlokát, szemét.

Ajkunkra szó elvétve csak ha lebben,
Mint mély álmában a madár ha szól.
„Soh'sem hallottam még papolni szebben.” --
„Én mit se hallék!” -- súgja válaszul.

„És milyen fényes volt a nászkiséret!
Ó mennyi nép, hány csillogó fogat!” --
És két kezemen forró könnyet érzek:
„Én egyedül csak téged láttalak!”

Confirmed with Kiss József, Összes Költeményei, Negyedik olcsó kiadás (Fourth edition), Singer és Wolfner Kiadása, 1908, page 67.
