А дівчина гине...

А то й стара мати,
Що привела на світ Божий,
Мусить погибати.
Серце в’яне, співаючи,
Коли знає за що;
Люде серця не побачать,
А скажуть: ледащо!
Кохайтеся ж, чорнобриві,
Та не з москалями,
Бо москалі: чужі люде,
Знущаються вами.
