Neuer Frühling

Neuer Frühling Ich glaubte schon den Herbst gekommen, 
Ich sah den Frühling abgeblüht;
Wie kommt es doch, daß Frühlingsläuten 
Mir durch die kranke Seele zieht? 

Hast du mein schwergeprüftes Herze 
Nur wie ein schöner Traum geneckt? 
Hast du mich wirklich liebumflossen 
Zu neuem Frühling auferweckt? 

So laß in deinem Aug' mich träumen, 
Laß ruhen mich an deinem Mund,
Und in unendlich heißen Küssen 
Mach mir das kranke Herz gesund. 

Umschließ mich fest mit deinen Armen 
Und birg an deinem Busen mich, 
So wird mein Aug den Herbst nicht schauen,
So bleibt es Frühling ewiglich.
